STAND STILL AND SEE THE SALVATION OF JEHOVAH

Last sermon by Pastor William Boachie-Ansah in 2017

Text: Exodus 14:13

‘And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of Jehovah, which he will work for you to-day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to-day, ye shall see them again no more forever.’ (ASV)

Moses saw a bright future in the midst of a very serious challenge….The Red Sea in in front of Israel and the pursuing Egyptian army behind, yet Moses was able to maintain a very good composure. He spoke in confidence to calm down the people of Israel who were panick-stricken, not knowing what to do in such a despairing circumstance. Many people were downcast yet Moses was bold enough to make such a powerful, life-imparting statement because he remembered God was with them. If God be for us nothing can bring us down.

1. Fear not
Do not allow the fear of the future drive you crazy. You are a child of God. The one you serve holds the future. Cast down all your fears at the feet of Jesus before you enter 2018.

2. Stand still
Be focused. Look only to God. Do not allow anything you see or hear dampen your spirit. God is going to lead us peacefully into the New Year. Rest your hope in Him. Yes, rest in Jesus.

3. See salvation
Once Jesus has bought you with a great price, see yourself as a worthy person. See Jesus as your strongman in whose hands you are absolutely save. Evil may abound in the New Year as some people have been prophesying these days, but as a child of God, rely on the salvation Jesus has worked out for you.

4. See Egyptians no more
Egypt signifies dreadful and glorified fears. See troubles no more. See Egypt no more. See disasters no more. See premature deaths no more. See family problems no more.

Make positive confessions of faith in Jesus. You Weill see good things happening in your life.
You will work on good things
You will follow the Lord completely
In addition, his mercies shall flow over you.
The New Year comes with good tidings so stand still, for you will surely see the salvation of Jehovah in your lives.
