THE HERITAGE OF GOD'S CHILDREN
THE HERITAGE OF GOD'S CHILDREN - 1
Text: Psalm 37:25-26
“I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.” Psalms 37:25–26 (KJV)
From today’s text, we see an experienced believer sharing his testimony about his walk with God. After walking with the Lord for so many years, the psalmist came to the knowledge of one thing; that there are benefits for walking with the LORD. He mentioned some of the benefits:
First of all, the benefit is that you will not be forsaken; where people are rejected, you will be accepted because of the favor of God upon your life.
Secondly, your children will not be beggars in life. Begging for bread is a sign of abject poverty. God will make sure that your children are well taken care of.
Thirdly, God makes you a channel of blessings to others; He fills you with His mercy so that you can have compassion on people and bless them (Genesis 12:1–3).
Finally, your children are blessed and empowered to be a blessing to the incoming generation.
Dear beloved, continue to walk with the LORD in righteousness so that you can be a testimony to the world.
Hallelujah! Be an overcomer! If you remain in Him and serve Him faithfully, your seed will never be beggars. Take your relationship with Him seriously and serve Him with all your heart, so that even your descendants can benefit from Him all the days of their lives.
Everything you do as a Christian here on earth, is an investment for yourself, your children and your children's children. This is a good heritage promised by the Lord Himself, and the Psalmist is a good witness of it. May this heritage be your portion today. I decree upon your life today… non of your seed shall ever beg for bread in Jesus’ name!
God richly bless you.
