RUNNING WITH THE GOD-GIVEN VISION
By Pastor William Boachie-Ansah
TEXT: HAB. 2:1-3
Then the LORD answered me and said: "Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry. (NKJV)
Introduction
The prophet of God had a great concern about the prevailing waywardness of the people of God in his days. He spent much time in prayer and meditation with respect to particular issues about the justice of God. After much prayer and waiting, God finally spoke and asked him to write...
As believers and leaders in the house of God, this text urges us to appreciate the value of writing. It is very important to cultivate the habit of writing down anything we intend to do, what we do and how we did it.
Leadership Lessons
leaders need to know how to wait on God. through fasting praying, meditation, we avail ourselves for the divine strength needed to do His will.
1.See it.....
Every leader must have both physical and spiritual eyes to see what God sees concerning the work we have been given. this is what the bible calls the leaders vision. whoever God calls, he gives a vision. it is our duty as leaders to shape what we see in such a way that our people should be able to see it with us
2.Write it....
In order to effectively shape our vision clearly, we need to write it down. Writing down our vision gives us a lot of advantages: Historical documentation, ability to make corrections, stages of implementation, ability to evaluate our successes and failures
3.Share it.....
A vision which is not shared may end up being shelved. This stems from the fact that leaders work with people in order to accomplish results. If you don’t share, how can people buy into it and help you to implement it?
4.Publish it....
Make whatever you write and share with other leaders about the vision known and accessible. People should be able to lay hands on it and personally appropriate and localize it.
5.Speak it...
Speak about the vision. Tell people more about it, especially those within the implementation zone of the vision.
6.Work with it...
Working with the vision requires good orientation skills. All the people around you should have a stake in the implementation of the vision.
7.Wait for results...
Expect the vision to produce results. This will call for due diligence, monitoring and regular conscious evaluation as well as patience to wait for the results.
God bless you.
