AFRICANS LIVING IN SHITHOLES?
*MY CHECK OF SHITHOLE FROM THE DICTIONARY*
*shithole*
ˈʃɪthəʊl/
nounvulgar slang
noun: shithole; plural noun: shitholes; noun: shit-hole; plural
noun: *shit-holes _an extremely dirty, shabby, or otherwise unpleasant place_*
Eg: "this place is a shithole, I hope you know that" (Cambridge Dictionary.com)
So the shithole that Trump used is a slang *description* of a *place* but not people or human beings?
1. Actually, over 80% of Whites I've come across hold similar views about our land. They may not state it in such a way but deep down in them, that's the picture they have about Africa.
2. In the colonial days they called our land the white man's grave, so our land is seen as a grave. And a grave is never *a pleasant* place.
3. All their media houses keep on showing the negatives about our land every day to the world in order to reinforce this notion that Africa is not a pleasant place.
4. Our political systems are extremely *shabby and dirty*! Are we practising democracy? We kill and maim fellow human beings for political gains.
Policies are shabbily drawn and implemented.
In spite of all the foreign aid, donations and other forms of assistance, our economic indicators don't show signs of progress.... If our systems are not shitholes, then what are they?
5. In Africa, almost everywhere is dirty... And most of our cities are *extremely dirty* our water bodies are dirty, our streets are dirty, our roads and buildings are shabbily constructed, our educational systems are shabbily planned, unemployment is shabbily managed,
So if our countries are *pleasant*, *not dirty* and *shabby*, why are we rushing in to Trump's country?
Hey Trump is a crazy man. He has hit all of us with the brutal truth. Instead of insulting him, we should rather redirect our anger towards finding solutions to what actually made him describe our land as shitholes!
We can't win any fight against Trump so far as our people will keep on queuing at the American Embassy for visas. Instead of confronting Trump, let's confront our corruption, negligence of duty and reform our systems.
We are not shitholes but we live in shithole countries.
