OUR WELCOME ADDRESS AT GREAT NINGO

THE CHURCH OF PENTECOST – GREAT NINGO DISTRICT
ADDRESS BY PASTOR WILLIAM BOACHIE-ANSAH AT OUR WELCOME SERVICE AT GREAT NINGO
ON SUNDAY, 3RD SEPTEMBER 2017
1.0. INTRODUCTION
Beloved people of God, we thank the Lord God Almighty and the Executive Committee of our noble church for bringing us to such a wonderful place with a wonderful people to serve as the leader of a very progressive District called Great Ningo.  This is the LORD's doing; it is marvelous in our eyes. Ps 118:23 (RSV)

2.0. APPRECIATION AND GRATITUDE
We sincerely appreciate the excellent welcoming arrangements our dear Area Head, Apostle Matthew Larbi Wettey and his able Area Executive Committee have put in place for us. We are very grateful for having the Area Secretary, Pastor E.K. Mahu being the Officiating Minister for this great and well-organized event.

We thank the leadership of the District spearheaded by my great predecessor, Ps Alex Nana Kwame Oppong for their excellent transitional arrangements they put in place to accommodate us in the District as well as the warm reception they have accorded us since we arrived here last Friday.

We are very grateful to all previous ministers from whose toils the foundations of Great Ningo District was solidly laid; Pastors Amoah, Dogbe, Allade and Tetteh.

We want to keep on thanking the leaders, Officers and members of Adoagyiri, our former District who have followed us to officially hand us over to leaders of Great Ningo after giving us a memorable farewell service.

We already feel at home because most of my friends in ministry and their wives come from this district. Most of the young committed Officers and members who helped me greatly when we were carving Teacher  Mante District out of my former District (Adoagyiri), are citizens of this land. And incidentally, most of the ministers and wives in Tema Area are my friends; school mates and college mates as well as people I knew and worked with long before I was called into ministry.

We thank all dignitaries, Officers and members who deemed it good to attend our welcome service. May the Lord God Almighty you all.

3.0. THEME MESSAGE
The message God has given us for the work we are going to do here is loosely summed up in this theme; IMPARTING IN EXCELLENCE TO IMPACT GENERATIONS based on Romans 1:11 and 2 Timothy 2:2. Paul had purposed in his heart to visit the church in Rome so that he would impart the gifts of God upon the members of the church. In 2 Timothy, Paul instructed Timothy to properly share his anointing and doctrine with faithful men to ensure continuity.
We strongly believe that God by His own will, shall continue to use us to bless this great church of God in the spirit of excellence.

4.0. WORKING PRINCIPLES
4.1. We live and work with the traditional family concept.
4.2. We do everything out of brotherly love
4.3. Everybody is God’s special somebody
4.4. Every church activity is very important
4.5. There is always a better way of doing things to ensure progress.

5.0. PERSONAL CHALLENGE
My wife and I were brought up on Akanland. We’ve spent all our working years on Akanland so we are not very much exposed to your culture. The Language barrier may initially interfere with deep level communication. Please take time to explain major customs and institutions to us very well so that we may not offend anyone in the community by way of going contrary to the norms and mores of the land.

6.0. BASIC PERSONAL INFORMATION
6.1. Born in Akrodie near Goaso in Brong Ahafo Region but hails from Assienimpong near Ejisu in Ashanti Region.
6.2. Called into ministry in 2001 and served at Osenase, Nsawkaw and Nsawam Adoagyiri as District Pastor.
6.3. Married to Mrs. Stella Boachie-Ansah, a professional teacher. She also comes from Kwaso, near Ejisu.
6.4. Blessed with four children; Samuel Antwi Boachie-Ansah, Peter Amponsah Boachie-Ansah, Sarah Gyamfuah Boachie-Ansah, and Mary Ntiamoah Boachie-Ansah.
6.5. ICT Literacy advocate: I believe in the application of technology in every activity practicable. I teach people how to effectively use infotech devices. I carry around more electronic Bibles and Christian literature than hard copies.
6.6. A typical leftie: my left hand is very very smarter than my right hand so I use it more unconsciously than the right hand.

7.0. CONCLUSION
May the Lord Himself cause His people to see His mighty hand moving in their lives during all the days we shall spend on Ningoland.
God bless you all for being part of this historic occasion.
Thank you.
