HEALING (PART 2)

 Main texts: Ex 15:22-26, Mat 8:16 -17    

<p> "If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have</p>brought on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you." (Ex 15:26, NKJV)  

 WHY SHOULD MAN BE HEALED?

  Man needs to be healed because:

 1.   Sin has affected the Spiritual and physical make up of man due to his fallen nature, and this can result in sickness and disease in various forms. E.g. General defects, ageing, accidents, poison, Pollution, heredity disorders, etc. ( Gen 18:10,MK 2:9-12, Jon 5:5, 14,9:1 -3 )

2.  Activities of Satan and evil spirits may result in diseases (Luke 13 :11-16, MK 9:17-25, Act10:38,19:11-12

 DIMENSIONS OF DIVINE HEALING

 -        Healing of the body from sickness

 -        Healing of the spirit from sin

 -        Healing of soul from past hurts, relationship, etc

 -        Healing (deliverance) of the demonized (body soul and spirit)

 REASON WHY GOD HEALS 

1. To show his nature and love - Jon 5:19 

2. To relieve man from suffering - Mat 14:14 Ps145: 8- 9

3. To destroy the works of the devil - Jon10: 10; Act 10:36-38. Job 42: 10, Jon 1:1

4. To prove that Christ is the son of God Jon 10:36 -Act 4:7-14, 3:10, Jon 9:35 - 37.

5. To draw people to hear the gospel - Jon 6:2

6. To turn people to God and believe in the Gospel  - Act 4:4, 8:6-8, 9:32-25

7. To inspire faith and courage in God's people Jon 11:39 -45, M1:45

8. To identify true Bible ministry. -Jn14:12-14 Mk 16: 17 -18, Act 4:13

9. To bring glory to God. - Mk 2: 12, Lk 18:48,5:25

Yes, my God is a healer and He delights in healing whoever comes to Him. He has your wellbeing at heart. If you want to be healed, come to Jesus – He is ready to receive you. Stay blessed.
